Since Goodmans was founded in Devon in 1995, we’ve helped hundreds of people enjoy financial peace of mind and live the retirement lifestyle they want. We’re proud to provide quality financial planning advice that gets to the point, cuts through the jargon and puts our clients’ needs and interests first.
Who we are
We’re an experienced team of Financial Planners, Paraplanners and support staff dedicated to supporting our client community.
Our team includes a Chartered Accountant and qualified Pension Transfer Specialists to offer a full range of services under one roof.
Based in Plymouth, we also have offices in Exeter and Bristol, enabling us to work throughout Devon, Cornwall and the West Country.

Meet the team
Andrew Moore
Financial Planner and Managing Director
Andrew has worked within financial services for over 15 years, specialising in retirement and investment planning. As well as helping clients live their best lives, Andrew leads the Goodmans team and guides the future direction of the company.
Holly Moody
Financial Planning Director
At Goodmans since 2015, Holly was welcomed as a Director in January 2023 and now leads the advice team as well as heading up the Plymouth office. As a qualified Financial Planner and Pension Transfer Specialist, she continues to make her mark with client-centred financial planning.
Laura Milroy
Compliance Director
Laura joined Goodmans over a decade ago as a law graduate, starting in adviser support, then moving into a Paraplanning role before finding her home in compliance. As Compliance Director, she makes sure our processes and policies meet regulations and that everything we do is in our clients’ best interests.
David Byworth
Finance Director
David joined Goodmans in 2019 with 15 years’ experience in finance and revenue under his belt from both the public and private sectors. Coming on board as Finance Manager, David graduated to Director at the start of 2022. As a Chartered Accountant, he’s also our in-house tax expert.
Sam Capstick
Financial Planner
Sam joined Goodmans in 2017 and now heads up our Exeter office. Sam pairs skills in finance, pensions and investments with a strong desire to provide excellent service and achieve the best possible outcomes for clients.
David Martin
Financial Planner
David is a Chartered Financial Planner and Pension Transfer Specialist with over ten years’ experience in financial services. David specialises in retirement and investment planning that helps clients retire early and live the retirement of their dreams.
Tom Clark
Financial Planner
Tom joined Goodmans in September 2021 after a decade in the Royal Marines Commandos, achieving his Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning soon after. After intensive mentoring from our Managing Director, Andrew, Tom earned his stripes as a Financial Planner in early 2023.
George Gilham
Financial Planner
George joined our Exeter team in 2021, kicking off his career in financial services here as a Trainee Paraplanner before rapidly progressing into a full Paraplanner role. Bolstering his technical knowledge through on-the-job learning and study for industry exams, George evolved into a financial planning role in 2023.
Isabel Thomas
Financial Planner
Isabel joined us in May 2022 with several years’ financial experience and a Master's in Finance under her belt. Starting as a Paraplanner, she soon earned a vital supporting role on our Investment Committee and progressed to a financial planning role in 2023.
